Meads Finalist of Family Business Awards

We are delighted to announce that we are finalists in the The National Family Business Awards. The awards are in their tenth year and are the only awards to nationally recognise family firms from all four corners of the UK & Ireland. The final will be held at Wembley Stadium on 13 July. The panel were blown away by the dedication, commitment and pride at being a family business shown by Mead Construction.

We are a family run business, based in Swaffham Prior, Cambridge and have built an excellent reputation for providing the very best groundwork and construction solutions. Started by Martin Mead in 1985 the company is a family affair, with Martins wife Pam and all three sons Michael, Richard, and Phil now heading up different aspects of the business.

We employ around 50 staff. We like to give back and fundraise for EACH, sponsor a Cambridge United stand and the Saturday football league, throw a family fun day for staff and get involved in local events.

Customers include Tattersalls, Jockey Club estates, National Stud, Newmarket Racecourse, Dick White Referrals and the National Trust. We also serve local builders, landscapers, garden centres, schools, and property developers.
