Fill Sand

Fill sand is a type of sand that is used primarily for filling purposes. It is often a ‘reject’ sand left over from the screening process as it doesn’t quite conform to alternative specs. Fill sand typically compacts very well so it is well suited for lots of different construction applications.  It doesn’t retain moisture as much as soft sand which makes it great for use in areas that will regularly become wet.

Typical Uses:

• Base layers under concrete slabs
• Trench fill over pipes or services
• Filling large holes
• Drainage applications
